Chum gốm thời xưa được người Việt cổ sử dụng để lưu trữ tài sản như gạo, lương thực, vàng bạc,… Nhà càng nhiều chum chứng tỏ càng phú quý. Chum gốm được trân trọng đặt ở nơi an toàn, trên cao để phòng thời tiết xấu và động vật cắn phá. Hình ảnh này cũng từ đó đi sâu vào đời sống người dân nước Nam cũng như trở thành kỷ niệm quen thuộc của bao thế hệ cho tới ngày nay.

Tại Legacy Yên Tử, các đồ vật bằng gốm nói chung hay chum gốm nói riêng đều được làm thủ công bằng phương pháp truyền thống tại Làng nghề Bát Tràng và Phù Lãng. Trân trọng di sản Việt và trân quý tinh hoa người nghệ nhân để lại là điều Legacy Yên Tử luôn ấp ủ trong suốt hành trình xây dựng khu tĩnh dưỡng mang phong cách cung điện cổ thời Trần thế kỷ 13.

In ancient times, Vietnamese people used pottery jars to store valuables such as rice, grains, gold and silver. The more jars a household had, the wealthier it was considered. These jars were treasured and placed in a safe, elevated position to protect them from bad weather and animal damage. This image has deeply embedded itself into the lives of the Vietnamese people and has become a familiar memory for generations.

All pottery objects at Legacy Yen Tu, especially pottery jars are handcrafted using traditional methods in the Bat Trang and Phu Lang pottery villages. Respecting Vietnamese heritage and cherishing the legacy of artisans are values that our resort has always held dear throughout its journey to build a resort complex inspired by the ancient Tran Dynasty palace of the 13th century.
